Marco Gritti joins eWater

eWater has appointed Marco Gritti as its commercial director. The new role entails overseeing customer relationships and business development across the Australian market for specification and direct sales.

Gritti is the co-founder and chief customer officer of Fifth Harvest, a farming company turning unused space in the inner city into sustainable farmland. He has also been the head of business development at Bardee which harvest fly protein for compost.

DesignInc Adelaide has appointed Kat Povey as the inaugural lead of its new design management services.

The company said that it recognises the “increasing complexity in the design and construction industries” and that the new services will add value to its clients and projects.

Povey had previously served as a senior program manager at property group Cushman & Wakefield and in several other roles at Unispace and GHD.

Melbourne Centre for Cities has appointed associate professor Cathy Oke as its interim director as the search recruitment continues. The centre’s inaugural director, Professor Michele Acuto, will be taking up the appointment of pro vice-chancellor for global engagement at the University of Bristol.

Oke, a City of Melbourne councillor for more than 11 years, joined the Connected Cities Lab in 2019 as an enterprise fellow in informed cities and has been the centre’s deputy director of strategy and operations since 2022. She currently leads the projects Innovate4Cities – a global covenant of mayors, and the Playbook for Urban Biodiversity.
