In no surprise to anyone, Zoe Whitton, the bright spark managing director from Pollination Group that’s on a tear with already 300 people in its ranks and hiring at the rate of two a week, topped the charts for most popular article this month

Next on the list was our new masterclass, a bit eerily called ESG for the New World (well it IS a new world when you consider the northern summer, we’ve just watched from our safe place down under… for now.

Get in touch if you feel you are one of “the best in the business” and happy to contribute a deep dive presentation on one of the issues we’ve flagged (editorial@thefifthestate.com.au ) or if you want your name in lights as sponsor of one, several or all of the MCs (abdul@thefifthestate.com.au)

NABERS also ranked highly – and that’s for a job ad! Nice work NABERS boss Carlos Flores, your team is clearly a huge winner!

Then, again in no surprise, sitting high on the list was the amazing work that AV Jennings boss Phil Kearns revealed to Louise Belfield as one of Australia’s biggest names in volume builders goes through the painstaking process of turning around a Titanic of building methodology to doing things better. But not just a bit better – a lot better with near net zero homes. Bring on more such heroes who are willing to stick their necks out and change the game … with rewards of course, not just for their business but the rest of us.

And then coming in hot pursuit was the story on nightmare apartments from the perennial favourite Alan Pears and another on the influencer we need times 100, the marvellous Marco Te Brömmelstroet visiting our shores from The Netherlands to shake up our thinking on cycling.

Thanks, Bevin Liu, for tackling his philosophical but very accessible view of our streets in a presentation that culminated in a ukulele tune for the audience, just to show he really is different.
