THE ROLE
As our Sustainability Master Planner, your days will be spent leading the delivery of inventive approaches to the creation of sustainable, resilient precincts and places. This includes:
- Working closely with ambitious architects, urban designers, and inspired clients.
- Developing and integrating sustainable design visions, initiatives, and feasibility studies for large-scale place projects.
- Managing all aspects of master planning projects, with support from project leaders.
- Crafting documentation using written and visual communication to simply, skilfully convey sustainable design integration and compliance for planning submissions.
- Developing expertise in the local technical design practices and share your knowledge with colleagues across the global team.
- Adeptly managing relevant assurance programs like Green Star and WELL Communities.
- Team mentorship and guiding of interns through technical tasks.
- Growing a network of key client contacts, inspiring peers, and relationship with industry organisations to build your reputation for exemplary sustainable place-making.

ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor (or higher) degree qualified in a field related to engineering, architecture, and/ or building science.
- 3+ years’ experience in an ESD, environmental design, sustainable built environment consulting, urban design or master planning role.
- Understanding of NSW planning policy, pathways, and documentation requirements.
- Excellent graphic, verbal, and written communication skills (in English).
- Appropriate work visa status.
- A proactive team player, you take pride in the ownership of your work. Always having your colleagues’ backs, you see and celebrate joy in the people and world around you.
Nice-to-haves:
- Additional planning, design, or property industry experience beyond 3+ years ESD work.
- Experience conducting Life Cycle Assessments or embodied carbon calculations.
- Green Star AP and Green Star project experience.
- Project management experience from inception to completion, including collaboration across design teams and contractors.
- Experience writing project proposals and sales.
- Client relationships that may lead to new project opportunities.
