Tim Kelly has been working in climate change and policy roles for more than 20 years. He worked in the water industry for 18 years including in climate change roles and as part of a team purchasing large scale renewable electricity and was chief executive officer of the Conservation Council of South Australia from 2010 to 2013. Tim served on the premier's Climate Change Council and he is a strong advocate for reforms in accounting for end user markets of renewable electricity and carbon offsets.
In 2010, Tim began engaging with Greenhouse Gas Protocol staff on renewable reforms and contributed to the GHG Protocol Scope 2 guidance which was released in 2015. He has been making submissions for the past 17 years to advocate for clear legislated rules and fairness for voluntary renewable customers and more recently to advocate for similar reforms for carbon offset markets.
